Puff, Puff.......Pass?

We like to keep our followers informed on what's happening in marijuana across the country and beyond. Here's a little tidbit that I ran across in my search for the latest cannabis info. Now, I'm not a big sports fan but from time to time I like to watch a good basketball game here and there! My dad on the other hand is a huge Miami Heat fan but not so much of marijuana. He would often yell at the television while on the phone with his brothers about this call or that call that a referee would make he felt was off the mark. Sometimes he would say “Is this guy high?” I would laugh because he would be so into it! So here I am searching for marijuana information that I put out in the world for y'all to see. Low and behold, I run into an article on how the NBA is suspending random marijuana testing for the 2021 – 2022 NBA season. This doesn’t apply to performance enhancing drugs and other hardcore drugs, but it seems like our favorite ball players and refs can smoke all they want this season. So fellas, don’t forget to puff puff before you pass! - Oz.

"The NBA is extending its policy of not randomly drug testing players for marijuana through the 2021-2022 season, a league spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver signaled late last year that the temporary suspension of cannabis drug testing may continue. And now, Chief Communications Officer Mike Bass is confirming that the policy will be in place at least through the upcoming season that begins this month, according to The Associated Press."

NBA spokesman Mike Bass: “We have agreed with the NBPA to extend the suspension of random testing for marijuana for the 2021-22 season and focus our random testing program on performance-enhancing products and drugs of abuse.”
